Prescription Service

CHANGES TO MANAGED REPEATS

We have decided to introduce this policy to ensure patients receive the medication they require, to help reduce over ordering of medication and reduce the overall prescribing cost for the NHS.

Therefore from 1st April 2019 we will stop accepting managed repeats from pharmacies; from this date patients will only be able to order their repeat medication by contacting the surgery directly.

This can be done by:-

  • Patient Access – online ordering of medication. To register please ask a member of staff for a registration form; this can be given to you at reception or emailed to you. Once you receive this you have 14 days to register. emis Patient Access
  • Telephone – we will be introducing a prescription answer machine. Please call 0141 334 6896 and leave your name, DOB, contact number and which medication and dosage you require, this number is accessible 24 hours a day.
  • Post – you can send in your repeat order slip, if you wish your prescription to be posted back to you or your pharmacy please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
  • In person – you can come into the surgery and order your prescription at reception.

If you have any questions please speak to a member of staff.
